Ordering

How do I place an order?

Choose a plant, select the size/variant, click "Add to cart", and fill in your address and contact details at checkout. You'll get an email confirmation as soon as the order is placed.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can order as a guest. Just make sure your email and mobile number are correct โ€” order and tracking updates go there.

I didn't get an order confirmation

First check your spam/promotions folder. If it's not there either, write to support@plantsgram.com โ€” we can look up your order using your registered email or delivery address.

I want to change or cancel my order

Write to us as soon as possible, with your order number, at support@plantsgram.com. If the order hasn't been packed or dispatched yet, we can change or cancel it. Once a plant is packed and out for dispatch, changes become difficult.

I need help choosing a plant

The Plant Finder guides you based on light and need, and Shop by Space guides you by location. Still unsure? Email us โ€” tell us about the light in your space and we'll suggest options.

How many products do you have?

Around 976 products โ€” flowering plants, fruit plants, seeds, bulbs, creepers and indoor plants. Full catalogue: All Products.

Can I place a bulk or wholesale order?

Yes, email us for large orders. Details are in the "Gifting & bulk" section below.

Payments & COD

What payment methods are available?

Whatever online payment options are shown at checkout are all available โ€” plus Cash on Delivery (COD). The final list will be visible on the checkout page.

Is COD available?

Yes, COD is available. If it's your first order and you'd rather not pay in advance, this option works well.

When do I pay for COD?

At the time of delivery, when you receive the parcel. The amount will match what's shown on your order confirmation. If the COD amount looks different, tell us before accepting the parcel.

Money was deducted but my order wasn't confirmed

Write to support@plantsgram.com with a screenshot of the payment or a transaction reference, the amount, and your registered email/mobile. We'll check and get back to you. Failed payments are usually auto-reversed by the bank.

What if someone asks for my payment details?

We never ask for your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or OTP. If anyone asks for this over phone, message or email โ€” it isn't us. Pay only through the website's checkout page.

How much is the shipping charge?

Shipping is free on orders above โ‚น999. Orders below that carry a shipping charge, which is shown clearly at checkout before you place the order.

Shipping

When do I get free shipping?

When your order value is above โ‚น999. The shipping charge is removed automatically as soon as your cart crosses โ‚น999.

How many days will my order take?

We don't promise a fixed number of days โ€” and that's deliberate. Dispatch of a live plant depends on its condition, and after that transit time depends on your pin code and courier network. Nurseries that promise "guaranteed X days" often ship without checking the plant's condition. You'll get tracking as soon as your order is dispatched, so you can follow its actual movement.

How do I track my order?

Tracking details are shared once your order is dispatched. If tracking hasn't updated for a while, write to us with your order number and tracking number โ€” we'll follow up with the courier and let you know where the parcel actually is.

Do you deliver across all of India?

We ship via a PAN-India courier network. Some remote pin codes don't have service or COD available โ€” this shows up as soon as you enter your pin code at checkout. If unsure, email us your pin code before ordering to check.

Will all items in my order arrive together?

Not necessarily. Large orders sometimes ship in more than one parcel. If one parcel arrives and another doesn't, let us know via Raise a Concern โ€” we'll check and update you.

How does a plant stay safe in transit?

The soil is locked into the pot (loose soil causes the most damage to roots), the pot is fixed inside the box, leaves and branches get cushioning, and the box has ventilation โ€” a completely sealed box makes a plant rot in its own humidity. The box is also marked for live-plant handling.

I won't be home at the time of delivery

It's better to give an address where someone is available during the day. The longer a plant stays in a closed box, the more stress it builds up. If there's any issue with the courier, let us know right away.

Plant condition on arrival

What should I do as soon as I open the box?

Open the box immediately and take the plant out. Keep it in bright, indirect light โ€” moving it straight from a dark box into harsh sun is a double shock. Then check the soil by inserting a finger 2 inches in; water only if it's dry. Don't repot or fertilise it right away. Full steps: Plant Care Guide, first-48-hours section.

Some leaves fell off / turned yellow โ€” is the plant bad?

Usually not. Spending a few days in a dark box is stressful for a plant, and it sheds or yellows a few leaves as a result. This is normal after transit and the plant recovers. The most common mistake here is panicking and overwatering โ€” don't do that. Give it the right spot, the right amount of water, and 2-3 weeks; new growth is the real proof of recovery.

The plant doesn't look exactly like the photo

Live plants aren't identical. Height, branching, leaf count and shape will vary from piece to piece โ€” this isn't a defect, it's what makes it a living plant. The photo is a representation of the plant, not an exact copy. That said, whatever is listed as included should definitely be there; if it isn't, use Raise a Concern.

The plant genuinely arrived damaged or dead

This is a case for our 10-day plant protection. Take photos and report it within 10 days: Report a Damaged Plant.

When will it start flowering or fruiting?

There's no honest answer of "X days" to this. It depends on bloom season, light, temperature, pot size and care. That's why we don't promise flowering or fruiting โ€” and it also isn't covered under the replacement policy.

Replacement

What is 10-day plant protection?

These cases, reported within 10 days of delivery, are covered for replacement:

  • Plant arrived dead
  • Badly damaged in transit โ€” broken stem, plant uprooted from the pot
  • Clearly unhealthy โ€” rotting stem/roots, or a pre-existing pest/fungus problem
  • Soil and pot scattered so badly that roots are exposed

Full policy: Plant Replacement Policy.

What isn't covered?

  • Care mistakes after delivery โ€” overwatering, underwatering, sudden harsh sun, repotting into unsuitable soil
  • A little leaf drop or some yellowing leaves after transit โ€” this is normal
  • Weather or pest damage after delivery
  • Flowering or fruiting expectations
  • Natural size and shape variation between live plants
  • Damage reported after the 10-day window
  • Damage caused by repotting or pruning it yourself

What do I need to send for a claim?

  • Order number
  • A photo of the whole plant โ€” including the pot, in good light
  • A close-up photo of the affected part

A photo taken at the time of unboxing is best. Keep the damaged plant with you until verification is complete โ€” don't discard it.

Where do I send a claim?

support@plantsgram.com, with subject "Damaged Plant โ€” [order number]". Step-by-step: Report a Damaged Plant.

Have a different problem, not damage?

For a wrong item, missing item, delivery delay or payment issue, use Raise a Concern โ€” that process is different.

Do I get a refund or only a replacement?

For a covered case, we arrange a replacement plant. If the same plant isn't available, we'll talk to you and work out the next step. Full legal version: Refund Policy โ€” if there's ever a difference, the legal version is final.

Plant care

How often should I water?

There's no fixed schedule. Finger test: push a finger 2 inches into the soil โ€” if it feels dry, water; if there's any moisture, hold off. Needs differ across summer, monsoon and winter. Full guide: Watering Guide.

My plant is turning yellow / drooping / dropping leaves

Causes and fixes by symptom are here: Plant Doctor. The first check is always the same โ€” is the soil wet or dry.

What does "bright indirect light" mean?

Plenty of light, but no direct sun rays hitting the plant. An easy way to measure it and judge the light in your home: Light Guide.

What soil should I use?

Don't just fill the pot with garden soil โ€” it compacts and hardens, cutting off air to the roots. A simple mix, plus separate mixes for succulents/flowering plants/seeds: Soil & Potting Mix Guide.

When and how much fertiliser should I give?

Only during the growing season, at less than the packet dose, and never to a stressed or newly delivered plant. Full guide: Fertilizer Guide.

When should I repot a new plant?

At least 2-3 weeks later. A plant can't handle transit stress and repotting stress at the same time. Full repotting steps are in the Soil Guide.

Can I ask a care question without placing an order?

Absolutely. Write to support@plantsgram.com. If you send a photo of the plant (whole plant + affected part), we'll be able to give a much better answer.

Seeds & bulbs

Is germination of seeds guaranteed?

No. Germination is never guaranteed on seeds โ€” and no honest seller can guarantee it. Whether a seed sprouts depends on soil, temperature, moisture, sowing depth, watering and handling, all of which are outside our control. So buy seeds when you want to enjoy the process; if you want a guaranteed plant, order a live plant instead.

How do I improve my chances of germination?

  • Use a light, fine mix โ€” cocopeat + fine compost. Not heavy garden soil.
  • Sow the seed only as deep as stated on the product โ€” too deep and the seed can't emerge.
  • Keep the soil lightly moist, not wet. Too much water rots the seed.
  • Don't fertilise the germination mix โ€” the seed carries its own food.
  • Mind the season; every seed has its own right time.
  • Be patient. Some seeds take weeks.

How should I store seeds?

In a cool, dry, dark place, in a sealed packet. Moisture is a seed's biggest enemy. The sooner you sow them, the better.

How do I plant bulbs?

Bulbs are good for beginners because the bulb stores the plant's food inside itself. The biggest risk is overwatering โ€” a bulb rots quickly in wet soil. Use a pot with a drainage hole, mix in sand/perlite, and go easy on watering until a sprout appears. Check the planting season and depth on the product page.

Does the replacement policy apply to seeds or bulbs?

10-day plant protection is for the transit condition of live plants. There is no germination or sprouting guarantee on seeds and bulbs. That said โ€” if the packet itself arrived wrong, missing or damaged, that's a different matter: tell us via Raise a Concern.

Gifting & bulk

Can I send a plant as a gift?

Yes. Enter the recipient's address and contact number at checkout โ€” a correct phone number for the recipient is needed for delivery. Order confirmation and tracking will come to your own email.

Can I include a message with the gift?

If you have such a request, email us after placing the order โ€” support@plantsgram.com, with your order number. We'll let you know what's possible. This needs to be requested before the order is dispatched.

What should I keep in mind when sending a gift?

  • Let the recipient know a plant is arriving โ€” the box needs to be opened right away. Every extra day in a closed box is a loss for the plant.
  • Choose an address where someone is available during the day.
  • Send the recipient a link to the Beginners Guide โ€” the first 48 hours matter most.
  • If you know the light conditions at the recipient's location, choose the plant accordingly: Plant Finder.

I want to place a bulk or corporate order

For large orders โ€” corporate gifting, events, society or office plantation, or nursery/landscaping needs โ€” email support@plantsgram.com. In your email, tell us: the approximate quantity of plants, which plants or what type (indoor / flowering / fruit / avenue trees), the delivery pin code, and your timeline. We'll review and let you know what's possible. More details here too: Bulk Orders and Corporate Gifting.

I need large trees for plantation

For society, plot, farmhouse or roadside plantation, see Avenue Trees โ€” these are trees meant for planting in the ground, not for pots. For larger quantities, email us directly.
