PlantsGram LLP operates out of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh — a region with a long nursery tradition. Here, growing plants isn't just a business; it's daily work that has been passed down through generations. We're part of that same ecosystem.
Why PlantsGram exists
There is one problem that dominates buying plants online in India — the plant arrives dead. The box opens, the soil has spilled, the stem is snapped, the leaves have dropped. The customer concludes "I'm just bad with plants," when the fault was never theirs. That single experience is what stops people from ever ordering a plant again.
PlantsGram was built around that problem. Our job isn't only to sell you a plant — it's to get it to you alive, healthy and recognisably the plant you ordered, and then to stay with you afterwards so it actually survives in your home.
How plants are selected
Every plant is inspected by hand before dispatch. We check:
- Whether the root system has established — planting a fresh cutting and shipping it immediately is the most common shortcut in this trade, and that is the plant that dies in transit
- That the stem and branches are firm, not hollow or soft
- That the leaves are free of pests, fungus and spots
- That the plant has settled into its current pot — a freshly repotted plant carries double the transit stress
If a plant fails these checks, it does not ship. Your order may go out slightly later, but we don't knowingly send a weak plant.
Packing — built for Indian transit
A parcel's journey across India is not gentle: heat, humidity, rough handling, and sometimes the box ends up upside down. Packing has to be built for that, not just to look good.
- The soil is locked in place so it stays in the pot — loose soil is what damages roots most
- The pot is fixed inside the box so it doesn't shift when knocked
- Leaves and branches are cushioned so they don't break from rubbing
- Airflow is left in — in a fully sealed box a plant rots in its own humidity
- Handling marks on the box, so the courier knows there's a live plant inside
Our plant-care commitment
The story doesn't end when the plant arrives — that's actually where it begins. So:

- Our Plant Care Guide is written for Indian homes, balconies and seasons — not copied from foreign blogs
- If a plant arrives in poor condition, our 10-day plant protection applies
